Prophecy Macht Neue Kohleentdeckung 17 km von seinem Kohlebergwerk in der Mongolei

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, 17. August 2011 - Prophecy Coal Corp. („Prophecy“ oder die „Firma“) (TSX-V: PCY)(OTCQX: PRPCF)(Frankfurt: 1P2) gibt heute bekannt, dass auf dem neu erworbenen Grundstück Ilch Khujirt („Ilch“) ein 19 m dickes Kohlenflöz entdeckt wurde. Das Ilch Grundstück ist 4.773 ha groß und liegt 17 km nordöstlich von Prophecys produzierendem Ulaan Ovoo Kohlebergwerg. Es liegt in Prophecys bestehender Erkundungslizenz, die 7.392 ha bedeckt.

Prophecy bohrte Loch RHJ-11-01 auf Ilch und stieß auf die folgenden Kohlenflöze:

Probenergebnisse der Kohlekerne sind (auf luftgetrockneter Basis): Eigenfeuchtigkeit 20,96%, Aschegehalt 14,52%, flüchtige Bestandteile 29,83%, gebundener Kohlenstoff 34,69%, Brennwert 5.130 Kcal/kg und Gesamtschwefelgehalt 0,35%. Dies sind vorläufige Ergebnisse, da die Kernausbeutung schlecht war und zusätzliche Bohrungen notwendig sind. Diese Lizenz wird für Kohle als hoffnungsvoll betrachtet, genau wie Prophecys benachbarte Khujirt-Lizenz. Wegen der seichten Lage hat das Kohlenflöz Abbaupotenzial. Diese neue Information wird untersucht und zusätzliche Oberflächenkartierungen werden durchgeführt, um zukünftige Bohrungen zu planen.

Prophecy hat das Recht 100% Besitz von Ilch für US$2 Millionen im ersten Jahr oder für US$4 Millionen im zweiten Jahr nach dem Unterzeichnen der Vereinbarung zu erwerben (siehe Pressemitteilung vom 4. Mai 2011). Bohrloch RHJ-11-01 bestätigte das Vorhandensein von Kohle, stellte Kohle zum Testen bereit und erbrachte Informationen, um zukünftige Erkundungen zu planen.

Die Kernbohrmethoden folgten Prophecys Qualitätsanalyse und Kontrollprozeduren. Diese Prozeduren sind unter anderem das Überwachen der Kernausbringung zum Abgleichen der Bohrfaktoren und –Equipment wie notwendig, Vermeiden von Bohrflüssigkeiten, die die Kernproben verunreinigen können und die vorsichtige Handhabung der Kerne, um Verlust und Bruch zu vermeiden. Die Kernproben werden nach Industriestandardprozeduren, einschließlich ASTM D5192 aufbewahrt, um anstehende Feuchtigkeit zu erhalten und Verunreinigung zu vermeiden. Christopher M. Kravits PGeo. eine Qualifizierte Person, wie im kanadischen National Instrument 43-101 definiert, übersah die Bohrungen, Bohrstättengeologie und Kernproben. Die Kernproben wurden nach ASTM und ISO Prozeduren und Methoden, die für Kohle geeignet sind, untersucht. Der Testplan war, den Kern in drei-meter Intervallen zu testen. Dies hätte ungefähr 6,7 kg Testmaterial ergeben, aber erschwerte Bohrkonditionen führten zu Kernverlust und daher waren die Testmengen weniger. SGS Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar untersuchte die Kernproben.
